Flagstaff Forest Highlands Wedding

September 29th // Forest Highlands Golf Course

oh the sweet smell of pine trees with a crisp autumn breeze in the air is Flagstaff’s normal during the months of September and October.

Dani and Kyle met while attending NAU as students. They worked at the school newspaper where they were caught flirting ALL the time. Up until this day, they both denied it. While everyone around them knew there was something between them, they ignored it for a while. Finally, they gave into the sweet feelings of love and their lives have never been the same since.

Forest Highlands golf resort is one of Flagstaff’s best venues. With mountain views, pine trees consuming you, and a great outdoor wedding venue option, their wedding was not to disappoint. The ceremony was outside on the green lawn under the shade. Like I said above, there was this perfect fall breeze in the air on September 29th. Dani and Kyle’s relationship is the best mix of friendship and romance. There is this goofy, sarcastic, humor to them at the same time you can feel their mutual respect, loyalty, and spark.

AND HER DRESS omg. I can’t even. You’ll see when you scroll down!

Jac + Steven // Munds Park, AZ

Backyard Forest Whimsical Wedding

Sept 8th 2018 // Arizona

On a warm September day Jac + Steven got married in the forest of Flagstaff with their family and friends surrounded. Where else would they get married other than Steven’s parents back yard? It’s where they would rest from the stress of college and enjoy family time and where he proposed to Jacqueline last year. And now it’s the location of where they are united as one. This wedding was really family focused with his grandparents making the food, her ring from her grandmother, and a lot of family in the wedding party. It was full and happy!

Pops of color, eucalyptus leaves everywhere, and an old fashion car gave all the right fall feels to this wedding. Simple, colorful, and whimsical. I could say those same words to describe Jac + Steven’s relationship. They are full of joy and laughter, always. They are the best of friends and you will always find them ready to have a good time. With Steven’s grandfathers homemade pulled pork, made that morning, their reception was easy going and relaxed. Yard games and a sunset was the perfect touch to their backyard wedding.

Now Jac is now your traditional bride. She wanted a different type of dress….one that would stand out in your mind. A grey/purple tulle skirt kinda of dress! She ordered it off of Etsy from a lady in Europe. Love her unique style so much throughout the whole wedding day. Hope you enjoy all the colors + romance + whimsy in this wedding!

Beautiful backyard Sedona Wedding

Backyard Relaxed Joyful Wedding

Sedona, Arizona // June 3rd 2018

I am because we are” Emily spoke to her love in the middle of a lily pad pond with their closest friends scattered around. With tears rolling down their cheeks and hummingbird singing by, they spoke promises + desire to be. . . Wedding vows have this ability to bring married couples back to their beginnings and not yet married couples excited for their futures. For a moment the laundry left unfinished, the dirty dishes in the sink, and the arguments in the car driving to the venue fade. As we gaze towards our friends at the front, we stop, we listen, we breath. We are allowed to be present, with no other responsibility tugging at us other than this one right here- to be here. Emily + Dustin’s wedding vows were straight poetry. They spoke deep from the heart, almost from another life time of knowing each other. Back and forth their words sang over our ears and invited us into this moment that would never happen again in history. They invited us to be apart of this thing we call humanity together. . . If you know Emily & Dustin you have experienced their energy for life. You are wrapped up inside of it instantly with a huge long hug and a warm tender smile. Their backyard Sedona wedding overlooking the Red Rocks was the most laid back joyous celebration to date.
