October 21st // Cannon Green
When I met Jessica and Tanner a year ago in Sedona I would have no idea I would be photographing their destination wedding in Charleston, SC. Jessica set up a couples session with me in Sedona, while Tanner was planning a surprise proposal at the end. I had no idea this was happening and was so happy my camera was ready when he popped the question!! I made friends that day that knew we would be friends for much longer.
With Jessica’s modern artistic style, she brought together all these pieces to create an unbelievable wedding day. Cannon Green is a venue in downtown Charleston with a modern flare. Palm trees, strung lights, and white stone creates an inviting feeling for all types of parties. Their ceremony was outside under the palm trees while moving inside for an amazing reception. Live band, donut wall, and four different food stations, this was a unique wedding.
Tanner is funny and warming and one of those nice guys you trust.
Jessica is stylish and fun loving and the sweetest human.
These are my kind of people!! They are so inviting and fun I wish I lived closer to them!
Charleston offers bright colored walls I don’t normally get to play around with in Arizona. I’m not complaining about the trees and mountains at all BUT I do miss photographing a couple near cool architecture. It pushes on parts of my creativity I have not touched in a long time. And WOW did we have a fun bride + groom portrait sessions with those bright walls and fun buildings. I didn’t want to give them the classic Charleston wedding photographs because they are a little bit more stylish and trendy then preppy! If I didn’t already say it- you might think this wedding was in California with the palm trees and urban style.
All around this wedding was one for the books!!
